Exclusive Territory
Under optimal conditions, properly
allocated affiliate territory is a win-win scenario for
both the affiliate as well as the Discovering Mobility Group.
The Discovering Mobility Group is allowed the capability to
adequately penetrate market areas for maximum sales and
profits, while Affiliates are afforded sufficient
territory to generate desired revenues without undue
competition. With this in mind the Discovering Mobility Group
carefully designates a territory for each affiliate
protecting that territory for that affiliate. This is
especially true with the Discovering Mobility Group.
It is in best interest of a prospective
affiliate to seek out opportunities that offer protected
and exclusive territory rights within a designated
geographic area. In fact, a study performed by the
Institute for Operations Research and the Management
Sciences shows that 91 percent of successful affiliates
have defined territories. Additionally, the study shows
that affiliation groups that adopt exclusive territories
are more likely to survive over time than groups that do
not.
