Air Hawk Reviews & Testimonials

I am very pleased that we purchased the Air Hawk

two years ago. The main reason that we decided

on this model was its light weight. The fact that it

is collapsible and could be carried in our vehicle

and easily set up to go was also important. It’s

wonderful to be out the fresh air and sun. I have

been to concerts, Christmas light displays, the zoo

and Disney World.

Thank you for this product. It has truly enriched

my life.

I chose to purchase the Air Hawk wheelchair because

of it having duel batteries so it lasts a full day of

mobility access at the theme parks, for the safety it

has in automatically braking and power it has it

climbing inclines. it has helped me see and do more

with my family and changed my routine for the better

in that I am able to participate in more activities with

them. I have been able to do so many activities with

my portable mobility device that you would not have

been able to do before. I think this device is practical

in that it is light weight and airline approved it will help

others too travel and be more independent. Enjoying

the celebration of my birthday at a theme park is one

memory I have as a result of the Air Hawk wheelchair I own.

I am an 84 year old man living in a large retirement

community (about 1500 apartments in over 20

buildings on a 140 acre site.)

unfortunately Alzheimer's took over my wife's life,

and when I was no longer able to care for her, she

moved to the continuing care building on the

opposite corner of the site. Using my walker to

visit her left me too tired to accomplish anything

else, so I looked at electric mobility devices. I was

attracted to the Air Hawk because it is small. light,

maneuverable and quick, plus will get me around for

2 to 3 weeks on a single charge. As all of our

buildings are connected by covered and heated

passageways, I can now ride to visit my wife year

-around, in any weather.

My wife had not appeared to recognize me for

some time, but my first memorable moment with

the Air Hawk was, after visiting with it a few times,

I swept in through her door on it and was greeted

with a big smile and a giggle!

My cat, Earl Gray, long ago decided that anything

that was delivered in a box must be for him, so

immediately upon my unfolding the Air Hawk he

jumped onto it. And ever since then, if I am not using it, he is likely on it!

Thank you so much from all of us for marketing such a useful device.

The "Air Hawk" offered extended range, and

batteries mounted in the frame. Most importantly

I could afford it on my pension.

It allows me to live on my own, and function in my

community. Takes trip to Georgia, Tennessee, and

Florida this past fall. It also has let me get around

car shows and train museums on my own. My

"Air Hawk" also makes it easier for anyone

assisting me, by being lightweight and easy to

load in a normal car trunk.

After a devastating illness, my Air Hawk wheelchair

helped me reclaim my mobility, my freedom, and the

work that I love. As a parish priest, being able to be

with my people is one of the most important parts of

the job. My wheelchair means I can make it through

Sunday services, sacramental hospital visits, and

outings without exacerbating my symptoms. My

day-to-day may look a little little bit different than

it did before, but there is no doubt that my Air

Hawk gave me my life back.

My Air Hawk has opened up my world. I live in

a Senior Living Community and being unable to

walk any distance I was pretty much confined to

the apartment and unable to participate in the

many activities of our community. The Air Hawk

changed all that. I now attend book group, served

on the Resident Council, and attend luncheons,

dinners, concerts. We chose the Air Hawk because

the Air Hawk is light enough, my husband can fold it

up easily put it in the car, which means we can go

anywhere, such as restaurants, plays, concerts, and

church. I’ve had my Air Hawk for 41/2 years and

have had no problems with it. Every time I use it,

people inquire about it and admire it. The most

positive memory I have of how the Air Hawk

helped me is that I can now attend church regularly.

Sincerely,

Kathryn Longrie

I suffered a stroke on Thanksgiving day 2011 which

left me with left side paralysis . I can’t walk without

assistance. Moreover, I cannot use a manual

wheelchair independently as I have no strength or

control on my left side. I have to depend on others

when travel with regular wheel chair which could be

a burden for my wife and kids to push me.

The Air Hawk has changed my life. I am mobility

impaired. By that I mean that it is difficult for me

to walk more than 20 feet or so. This power chair is

almost literally a “life saver”. It gave my life back

so I could enjoy time with my family without needing

to burden them to push me around. The Air Hawk

folds easily and light weight at about 41 lbs. my wife

and kids have no problem loading and unloading this

chair. Moreover, the Air Hawk is rated for airline

use and that’s one reason I bought it. It folds up

compactly and the battery life is amazing. My first

trip with my Air Hawk was a 10 days Disney trip at

Florida.

First of all, traveling to the airport is a breeze. The

Air Hawk is an ultra lightweight mobility chair,

weighted only 41 Ibs, With a folding dimension of

32 in (L) x 23.25 in (W) x 12.25 in (H), it is the size

of a large suitcase allowing it to fit in the truck of

most cars.

Once at the airport, I just informed the service

person at the counter that I need a tag for gate

check. I got to ride to the gate and check the chair

like other device like a baby carriage. And I just

picked up the chair at the plane entrance upon

arrival. Batteries are nice and lightweight. They

only weigh 5 pounds each. The chair uses one battery

at a time. Though it comes with two, you only need

one. It’s sturdy enough. A fully charged battery is

rated for 25 miles range. With its two removable

lithium battery packs, I have yet to become

stranded because I've run out of "juice". I just

swap 'em around in less than 1 minute and keep

on motoring. They charge up quickly in the evening

and I never leave he house without both battery

packs fully charged to cover large area in the parks.

It comes with a cable to charge the battery out of the

chair. Moreover, the chair can be switched to manual

mode and someone can push you if something

happens.

The seat is very comfortable (I am 6’ and 190 lbs)

and I have spent hours at a time in it with no

discomfort. The flip out foot rest provides for a

comfortable extension for my legs. I can’t say

enough about the vendor. Communication was easy

and shipping was super fast. If you are in the market

for a portable power wheelchair you can’t go wrong

with this.

I have been the owner of the Airhawk folding wheelchair

for several years. This is a huge factor in being able to

now travel the world that I never thought was possible

since having been diagnosed with MS. The lightweight

(only 41 pounds) and compactness (when folded, it is

about as big as a small suitcase) are what attracted me

to this wheelchair. It is very easy to control and I am able

to maneuver it into some very narrow spaces. The battery

life is long-lived - I have never drained the battery when

out an all-day excursion. The convenience of taking an

extra battery has eased my mind about suddenly being

immobilized.

This has given me the freedom to travel (car, bus, cruise)

and experience the beauty of nature. I was able to take a

1/2 world cruise last summer that would not have been

possible without the Airhawk. Just walking around on the

ship had become an impossibility with MS.

If you try one, I think you will agree.

Oh, and the horn sounds cute - not loud enough to scare

someone else but loud enough to get someone's attention.

The attached zip file contains three pictures from the

1/2 world cruise I took.

I’ve used a lot of different wheelchairs over the years and the Air Hawk is by far the best one I’ve owned. My biggest struggle was finding a chair that I could easily maneuver and something that was easy to travel with. A few things I love about this chair is how compact it folds up, allowing it to fit in pretty much any car. The weight is also on the lighter side when I compare it with some of my previous wheelchairs. I’m often by myself or with a family member so it’s really easy to transport.
My family loves to visit Universal Studios each year and it’s defiantly been more enjoyable for me with the Air Hawk. One bonus is because my chair is on the smaller side the staff allow me to take my chair through almost all the queues. For anyone who has ever had to transfer chairs etc you’ll know how exciting this was for me! If you’re someone who likes to stay local or go on adventures I would highly recommend the Air Hawk!

We have had our Air Hawk for at least 7 years. it has been a tremendous help for my wife. It took her a few weeks to get the hang of the joystick control but now she's a pro. She can travel the RV parks that we stop at and see so many things that she could not before. The unit is light enough for me to get it in our RV without any issues.

We chose this over all the other battery-powered wheelchairs for a couple of reasons. Warranty, price point, and durability. We also like that the Air Hark is rock solid for her to get in and out of. We travel everywhere with it.
